Follow these approaches to resolve the QuickBooks 80029c4a error.

Approach 1
If antivirus is at the root of the problem:
  • Check its log of quarantined files and remove from quarantine if possible.
  • Add QuickBooks files to the exceptions in the antivirus or firewall program.
Approach 2
Register QuickBooks services:
  • Navigate to the folder that has the reboot.bat file (you can use explorer search option) or simply right click on QuickBooks desktop icon and then click on properties and open file location.
  • Right click on reboot.bat file and run as administrator.
  • Restart computer once process completes.
Approach 3
Diagnose QuickBooks with QuickBooks install diagnostic tool to find out if there are missing dll files.
  • If there are then you may need to carry out a clean reinstall of QuickBooks desktop. Before you do that, save your company file and related files to another location.
  • Uninstall QuickBooks from control panel programs and features and then run clean install tool. However, you also get the repair option when you choose to uninstall in which case you can try a repair first to see if it works. If not, uninstall and then reinstall again.
  • If you do not have QuickBooks clean install tool, download it first.
  • Run QuickBooks as administrator.
  • Update QuickBooks from help menu and then get updates.
  • Restart QuickBooks.
In some instances simply restarting your computer can fix the problem by itself so try it first and then carry out the above steps if it does not work. Sometimes, if you simply update QuickBooks the problem can be resolved and you should try it before you uninstall and reinstall.

If, however, none of these works then you can call us for timely help to resolve this issue.
